Training Update


How do you like your Smilinggg miles in the morning? I like mine on the trails ๐ŸŒฒ โ˜€๏ธ

Starting Saturday with my favourite loop. This week has been a recovery / deload week. I take a recovery week after three weeks of build. It usually sits at around 40-50% of my peak mileage from the previous build. ๐Ÿ“Š ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Next week will be the final big week of mileage / time on feet, before starting a two-week taper leading into the Backyard Ultra National & Satellite World Championships starting Saturday 15th October. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง ๐Ÿ“ก

The miles will decrease dramatically and time spent on the trails will be replaced with time re-reading all the stoic classic texts. Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and Epictetus will be my best friends as I lean on their wisdom to get my mind sharpened. An equal if not an even greater piece of the puzzle when facing a race with no finish line. ๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿง 

I might even find time to work through the Rocky movies too... ๐ŸฅŠ ๐Ÿ’ช
