What can I say? I gave it absolutely everything I had but after 34-successful yards (141.666-miles) in a little under 34-hours, I failed to complete my 35th. Bowing out with the assist to the thoroughly deserving winner Keith Robson who successfully completed his 35th yard and with it crowned the Gods Own Backyard Ultra Champion.
I want to extend a huge thank you to the volunteers and race organisers and the fellow participants. It’s been an incredible couple of days.
I’m absolutely shattered, but I look forward to sharing more from this weekend in the upcoming days. Thanks to everyone for their encouraging messages too! It means a great deal.
