February Training Stats

February seemed to come and go in an instant. Granted 28-days opposed to 30 or 31, but it certainly flew by!

It’s been a particularly successful month of training. With a number of quality sessions thrown in, as the base continues to be built.

The first ever Smilinggg x Jelly Babies Marathon took place last week, granted unofficially. The 26.2-mile run last Tuesday was simply fuelled on a 190g bag of the delicious sweets. But hey, if Maynards Bassetts are reading this and wish to send over a few bags for future runs and rides, let me know 😉

I’m continuing to notice the advantage of cycling as a means of cross-training, and a further way to bring adventure to my workouts. A weekly ride with Will Wood has been such a great addition, and the social aspect of this ride has certainly done wonders for my well-being.

Lastly before I share this months stats. I’ve had two really great meetings with Samaritans. The topic of conversation has been around this year’s Smilinggg Fundraiser and creating a Team Smilinggg for their Samarathon event taking place in May. I’m grateful to those of you who have already expressed an interest in being part of the Smilinggg team.

This year’s challenge is set to be on another level to year’s gone by, so to be building a deeper and stronger connection with Samaritans is something I’m incredibly appreciative of.

So here we are, February’s training stats.

⏰ 71 Hours 16 Minutes Trained
🏃🏻‍♂️ 15 Runs / 32h 51m / 215 miles / 22,100 ft Elevation Gain
